Turkey Talk
State Up, Geauga Down

Well, with the season long over it is time to tally the bodies.  With some bad weather later in the season, many local hunters were not able to connect this year.  Initially, there were a good number of gobblers being heard for most.  After the first week however, many turkey chasers were reporting hearing more bugs than birds.  The final County numbers were down from last year and dropped us out of the top ten, well , even out of the top 20 in the State.  The good news is that overall, the State harvest was up this year.....and oh yeah, Ashtabula was number one again....

Turkey Tactic Tips:

With the season over, it is time to catch up on all of the things around the house, cut firewood, get in the garden, coach little league and try to build back up the brownie points with the wife/husband for the upcoming fall seasons.  So take them out to dinner or a movie....its cheaper than divorce after next season.
