Maple Country Chapter NWTF
Geauga County, Ohio

Welcome to the Maple Country Chapter NWTF web site. We have established this website to better serve our members.   It will help to inform you of our upcoming events, programs and important dates, as well as photos of events and our members.  We hope that this site will assist in our communication with all members as we strive to develop the chapter to meet the expectations of our constituents. Please feel free to contact us with any comments on this page or events.

We would also like to thank all those, past and present, who have helped in the development of this chapter.  It is only through the hard work of its volunteers that the chapter and its events are possible.  Anyone interested in becoming a more active part of this growing chapter should contact us at any of the contacts listed.  As the chapter evolves to become more focused in the local community, we need a strong volunteer base to better fulfill our goals.  Our main mission is to offer interactive programs to the youth in the area.  With the continued support of our members we will continue to grow and improve these activities to provide education, safety training and all around good woodsman ship practices.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you at our next event.

20th Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet will be Sept 11 2014.

Upcoming FALL event Youth and Disabled Persons Dove hunt

The Hunt will be available for any youth 11-17 years old and disabled persons in North East Ohio.  We will be planting sunflowers and other attractants in donated field plots by local farmers. The hunt will occur in the second season in October.  More details to come as this takes shape.  Contact us if you are interested in the hunt or would like to offer assistance.

5th Annual Coyote
Feb 14th through Feb 17th

It was tough hunting for this year’s coyote open. Only 6 were killed out of 61 hunters. Some were seen but not taken because they were out of range. We are planning on having a late summer early hunt in 2014 this year stay tuned.

Turkey hunters Care

This year the Chapter donated 20 turkeys to Geauga County families in need during the Christmas Season. Thanks to WalMart in Chardon for providing a discount to make our dollars’ worth a little more.

19th Annual Hunting Heritage Banquet

Special thanks to those who made this year’s Banquet a huge success. It is not possible without the donations from our sponsors and the hard work of the committee members. Please visit our sponsor’s page and support the businesses that support us.
