Welcome to the Maple Country Chapter NWTF web site. We have established this website to better serve our members. It will help to inform you of our upcoming events, programs and important dates, as well as photos of events and our members. We hope that this site will assist in our communication with all members as we strive to develop the chapter to meet the expectations of our constituents. Please feel free to contact us with any comments on this page or events.
We would also like to thank all those, past and present, who have helped in the development of this chapter. It is only through the hard work of its volunteers that the chapter and its events are possible. Anyone interested in becoming a more active part of this growing chapter should contact us at any of the contacts listed. As the chapter evolves to become more focused in the local community, we need a strong volunteer base to better fulfill our goals. Our main mission is to offer interactive programs to the youth in the area. With the continued support of our members we will continue to grow and improve these activities to provide education, safety training and all around good woodsman ship practices.

Spring Wheelin Hunt 2009 Update

First and foremost allow me to apologize for being so late in getting this posted.....

The Spring Wheelin Hunt was again a huge success made possible only by the help and support of generous landowners that donated the use of their turkey rich properties as well as the help from guides, volunteers, and of course our hunters!

Although no one brought a monster tom home all of our hunters had a great morning with a lot of gobbling toms! They were really hot that morning but just wouldn't close that last 50 yards........ except for the jake that Mr. Parker scared the daylights out of!!!! Hey Pete, we will give you a call for our patterning day next year! And perhaps Mr. Patterson will pull them in a little closer next time! Well, that is why we call it hunting!

Again, thanks to all involved for your help and support! We will keep you posted on the dates for next year!
